Operation Blue Santa

Ingleside Police Department Kicks Off 2nd Annual
OPERATION BLUE SANTA

The Ingleside Police Department is asking residents, businesses, and industrial partners to donate new unwrapped toys, books, board games, dolls, building sets, educational items, action figures, bicycles, tricycles, and gift cards (Sonic, Whataburger, Taco Bell, Dairy Queen, HEB, Amazon, etc.) for boys and girls ages 0-16 to support Ingleside’s 2nd Annual Operation Blue Santa Toy Drive.  We will also accept donations of new clothing, non-perishable food, new blankets, and other items that families may need.

No one calls 9-1-1 to tell the police all is well with their lives. In the course of a police officer’s routine work we often encounter children in circumstances and environments that are heartbreaking.  Many of the children that our police interact with only know Christmas as nothing more than a school holiday.  Many of these kids are in single parent homes or family environments that are unstable, especially now due to COVID-19.  Many families must choose between gifts and basic utility needs or food, leaving little resources for presents at Christmas time for their children.  Regardless of why, all children deserve presents at Christmas.

Last year’s Inaugural Operation Blue Santa was such a huge success thanks to the great support from our community. We want to continue that success this year because we know that Operation Blue Santa is a wonderful way to reach out to children and families in our community.

Blue Santa’s Elves have donation stations at various businesses around the City of Ingleside.  Also, donations can also be dropped off at the Ingleside Police Department at 2425 8th Street, Ingleside, TX.  Donations will accepted through December 12th.

If your business or organization would be interested in making a donation, or would like to serve as a toy drop location, please contact Police Chief Tammy Burr by e-mailing bluesanta@inglesidetx.gov or call 361-776-2531.  You can make a difference in a child’s life. Please add Ingleside’s Operation Blue Santa to your Christmas list and donate TODAY!
