Ingleside Fire Corps 5K Run/Walk

The Ingleside Fire Corps IFC 5K Run/Walk will take place in November this year.  This event supports education by providing scholarships (Bob Richardson Memorial Scholarship) to existing seniors at the local high school.  In 2016, the Ingleside Fire Corps 5K Run/Walk will took place at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 28 at Live Oak Park.

It’s great fun and supports our town!

Our firefighters have the opportunity to provide training to students not just from Ingleside, but also Ingleside on the Bay, Flour Bluff, Taft, Rockport, Fulton, and Ben Bolt.

Our Fire Prevention Program has been in place for several years.  We go to Ingleside Primary and Gilbert J. Mircovich Elementary and teach the students about preventing fires and what to do in case of a fire.  Outdoors, the students get to explore the fire trucks and watch the fire fighters put on their gear.  Inside the schools, our Fire Marshal gives presentations with the help of our firefighters and Sparky the Fire Dog.

Fall Family Fun Night

Start a family tradition!  Join us for Family Fun Night at the Ingleside Volunteer Fire Department, generally on the Saturday before Halloween, at the Fire Department on 2425 8th Street.  There’s games, story time, fall photos, hay rides, and a pumpkin carving contest.  There’s a kids costume contest and the pet costume contest, too.  At dusk, the event ends with a family friendly movie.  Come out for the fun and support your Volunteer Fire Department!
