The Ingleside Splash Pad is the newest and most popular addition to the City of Ingleside's NO. Simmons Park. The Splash Pad is free to the public and it's open from 10 am until 8 pm every day during the summer. There is a covered pavilion with picnic tables next to the Splash Pad so parents can sit and watch their children in the shade.

A splash pad combines the sensations of water movements and interactive play elements in a safe "zero-depth" water play area. The play area is constructed on a concrete slab covered in rubberized, non-skid, paint with various water features that spray water in different patterns and directions, cooling off visitors and providing for hours of fun.

There is a silver button in the middle of the splash pad where you turn it on. It will shut off after 4 minutes and will turn back on once they push it again. It is recirculating water with a UV system. The system has an alarm that will shut off the Splash Pad if the chemicals drop below or above the safe level.

The Splash Pad will be open for the long south Texas summer this year until October 1st. If there is ever an issue with the Splash Pad, call the Parks Department at 361-776-3438 during office hours, or call the non-emergency Police number at 361-776-2531 after hours. You can also send us a message on Facebook.

The Ingleside Splash Pad celebrated its grand opening on Saturday, June 24, 2017. The splash pad is the first of its kind for Ingleside and made possible with a portion of the $7,000-000 2015 Bond.
