The Ingleside Animal Shelter was damaged during Hurricane Harvey.

On August 25, 2017, the Texas Coastal Bend, including the town of Ingleside, was devastated by Hurricane Harvey.  In the aftermath, our Animal Shelter received damage to the extent that animals could not be housed.  Since that time, numerous facilities have assisted the City of Ingleside with housing animals secured by our Animal Control Officers.  Most of these agencies are limited in their ability to assist due to demands placed on their shelters by their own cities.

The Ingleside Police Department is diligently working with the City Manager, Mayor, and City Council to employ an Animal Shelter that will be up and running in the very near future for the residents of the City of Ingleside.

Our Animal Control Officers are still working very hard and respond every day to animal related calls, including strays, animal abuse, wild pest animals, and escaped livestock.  Right now, each incident is handled on a case by case basis.

For any questions regarding Animal Control, or to contact our ACO’s for assistance, please call the Ingleside Police Department Non-Emergency number at (361)-776-2531.
