The City of Ingleside has generous health, dental, and life insurance plans. The health insurance plans are offered through Texas Municipal League Health. The City offers three PPO plans which use the United Healthcare Choice Plus network of providers for “in-network” coverage.

The TML dental plan allows participants to select any dentist without having to belong to a specific network.

Life Insurance / Disability Coverage
The TML Life Insurance and Disability coverage is available for all full time employees.

All employees in positions that require 1,000 hours or more a year are required to participate in the Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS). The plan requires 5% of gross earnings to be deducted pre-tax and deposited into the member’s retirement account. The City provides 2:1 matching contributions.
An employee becomes vested after 5 years of service. A vested employee becomes eligible for retirement at age of 60 or 20 years of service at any age. The City has an additional provision with TMRS to provide supplemental death benefits for employees.
Other benefits include a 457 deferred compensation plan, worker’s compensation insurance, direct deposit, short-term disability, long-term disability, sick leave, and vacation leave.
