At the November 14, 2017 City Council Meeting, the City Council decided to initiate a community effort to examine existing City facilities, identify needs and help plan for the future. Specifically, initially examining the need for City Hall / Police Department / Emergency Operations Center – through the establishment of a Municipal Facilities Committee.
The City Council is asking for volunteers who are interested in serving on the Municipal Facilities Committee. It is anticipated that there will initially be meetings every other week and the first few meetings will include an overview of services provided in each facility, be touring existing facilities and after the first of the year, possibly visiting other small cities who have built new facilities.
