Summary: The City of Ingleside is currently accepting applications for a Patrol Officer position. Applicants must be currently licensed through TCOLE as a Texas Peace Officer. Required experience and training include a high school graduation, or its equivalent, graduation from a recognized police academy and a Basic Peace Officer’s License. The Officer will protect the city’s residents and property and enforces laws and ordinances. Duties include patrolling an assigned area to prevent crime and enforce laws and ordinances; and responding to emergency calls and routine complaints, taking appropriate action. This position requires that the employee must be physically able to perform the essential duties discussed above. Examples of required physical abilities include, but are not limited to: Running; Firing a weapon; Driving at high speeds; Physically restraining a person; Using a baton;
